Short Course Description
Move your career aspirations forward by completing a short course in Guest Services/Front Office at Sunshine Coast TAFE. This course will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge for both Reservations and Reception in serviced apartments, hotels, motels and resorts.
We'll teach you how to use two of the most popular computerised front office reservation systems (Fidelio and Hirum). These software programs are currently used in many leading hotels and resorts in order to operate their accommodation services.
The course will also cover: processing reservations; room allocation; check-in procedures; guest check-out; accommodation reception services; receive/process reservations; control reservations/operation perform office procedures; and process financial transactions.
To enroll in this course you should have basic computer and keyboard skills; a willingness to work in a team environment; a demonstrated interest in hospitality; and a high standard of personal presentation, punctuality and commitment.
